Northern Vietnam

We are excited about our first visit to Northern Vietnam.  This will be an adventurous, moving on tour through the mountainous north west provinces.  Vietnam’s far North West is undoubtedly the best place to cycle in the country as the roads see virtually no tourists and avoid Vietnam's notorious highways.  It wasn’t until the late 1990’s that travel restrictions were lifted.  Stunning landscape, amazing karst rock formations, stilted houses with thatched roofs, mountains nestled between limestone outcrops and the highest concentration of hill-tribe people in the country.   Luggage transfer and vehicle support will be provided. This tour is suitable for fit, experienced cycling enthusiasts.  Click here for details and dates

Rajasthan

"It's like stepping into the pages of the National Geographic" commented Jack, a Canadian who joined us on our first tour to Rajasthan.  We have been back 3 times since and are still amazed by this desert state of India.  Desert it may be, but dull it isn't.  Iridescent turbans,  brilliant saris, castles,  forts, and palaces, this tour is a knockout.  We stay in heritage hotels,  converted forts and princely homes and spend two nights camping at the famous Pushkar Camel Fair, one of India's most colourful celebrations.  Tribes-people from miles around  trading  camels and horses,  music, fairs and entertainment.  Lunches provided by our excellent field kitchen and  full vehicle support.  Click here for details and dates

Slovenia

Slovenia boasts quiet roads, stunning and varied scenery and a good climate.   After visiting Lake Bohinj and beautiful Lake Bled, we cycle through the superb snowcapped mountains of Triglav National Park before tackling Slovenia's highest road, the exhilarating Vrisic Pass.  A helter-skelter freewheel from the top takes us down to the astonishingly  blue Soca River, which we follow as it winds  through the gentler wooded hills of the south.  Cycling on  through vineyards and karst landscape, we take a break to visit the spectacular Scojam caves.  Our tour ends with a day at leisure in Slovenia's interesting capital city,  Ljubljana.  Nice accommodation and luggage transfer.  Click here for details and dates

Laos

Our first tour in Laos November 2005 was a great success and we are excited about returning to this beautiful un-spoilt country.   We will enter  Northern Laos from Thailand and journey by boat down the Mekong River and then cycle through mountains and jungles, some of the most spectacular scenery in Asia.  Experience first-hand the colourful and diverse cultures of the many hill tribes.   Rest days  in Chiang Rai (Thailand),  the World Heritage town,  Luang Prabang, and Vientiane.    An all inclusive, fully supported tour.  Fly Heathrow/Bangkok/Chiang Rai - Vientiane/Bangkok/Heathrow.  Click here for details and dates

Greece - Peloponnese

The Peloponnese is a region of outstanding natural beauty with snowcapped  mountains, valleys of citrus groves and cypress trees, fine beaches and, of course, archaeological and architectural treasures.  The tour starts and ends on the island of Zakinthos (Zante).  After crossing by ferry to Kyllini on mainland Greece, the tour is a clockwise circuit of the Peloponnese, cycling through some of the most spectacular scenery in Greece.  Several rest days and  optional visits to Olympia, Mystras and other ancient sites.   Land only - arrange your own flights from regional airports.  Luggage transfer.  Click here for details and dates

Ladakh - Manali to Leh - August

A very demanding adventure tour ascending the World’s highest roads over the Indian Himalayas to Leh, capital of Buddhist Ladakh, culminating with the ascent of the Khardung La, at 18,330 feet.  A breathtaking journey through an isolated and incredible landscape dotted with tiny villages and monasteries.  Modest  daily mileage to allow for acclimatization.  Five major passes over 16,000 feet to climb on route.   A mixture of hotels and camping.  Camping kit and  meals provided, luggage transferred and vehicle support throughout.  Not for the faint-hearted -  a journey to remember.  More details soon.
