A new tour to this north eastern state of India promises wonderful  scenery and lots of culture.  The tiny Himalayan state of Sikkim nestles between Nepal and Bhutan.  Against a backdrop of snowy peaks, the hills are clothed in pine forests, Rhododendrons and tea plantations.  An independent Buddhist kingdom until 1975, Sikkim retains its own unique character.  Populated by less than half a million, mainly Nepali speaking mountain dwellers, this is India ’s last Shangri La.
